Lionel Messi wins Golden Eleven ahead of Ronaldo

For the third consecutive year, the French magazine Onze Mondial elected Lionel Messi the best soccer player of the year, based on the votes of its readers.

The Barcelona striker won the Golden Eleven award with 47.5 percent of the votes, leaving Cristiano Ronaldo into second place (27.95%), while the Colombian Radamel Falcao complete the podium after receive 6.10 percent of votes.

Messi is the third player to receive this award for the third time, equaling Michel Platini (1983, 1984 and 1985) and Zinedine Zidane (1998, 2000 and 2001). Cristiano Ronaldo earned the award in 2008.

Barça sentenced to pay to former representative of Messi

A judgment in the Court number 25 of Barcelona has dictated freezing the box office of the match Barcelona-Real Madrid scheduled for October 7.

The company Sport Enterprises, owned by Rodolfo Quinota, a former representative of Leo Messi,  claimed  from Barcelona an amount close to € 450,000.

The first contract signed by Messi with Barcelona  was signed in 2005 and lasted until 2014. In 2007 the club changed this contract, the player's father broke with Quinota and this, in turn, demanded  Barelona to understand that he should continue to receive the full amount of the contract signed by both parties.

Barcelona ensures that the embargo will not happen and that everything will be arranged with the former Lionel Messi representative.

Messi second highest paid player in the world

Leo Messi is the second highest paid player in the world. Only surpassed by his former teammate Samuel Eto'o.
Messi has a clause in his contract that eventually becomes fixed when the variable gets a title, hence after 14 of 19 trophies won at the Pep Guardiola era, Messi income shot up to  near the 18 million euros per season.

Barcelona sources confirmed the data, while once reported that feel oppen to review the new contract (it would be the sixth time since 2005 initialed his first contract agreement with the club).

"Messi charges which generates in the field", insisted Barça sources, knowing that the attacker is desired on the market and only a crazy market movement could make a change of scenery (the clause is 250 million) .

Leo Messi scores 2 goals in a difficult game

Barcelona striker Lionel Messi said after emerging victorious in the clash against Spartak Moscow that the "merit" of having taken all three points had been all Barca and that despite the absence of Piqué the team have other great players.

 "It is our worth have won this game so complicated.I's not easy, we could not find spaces, the forwards were very fast, very strong, played well on the counterattack, they are complicated, but appeared and won our third goal," admitted Messi to Canal Plus.

 Finally, in order to achieve the Golden Ball, Messi said scoring goals was not his "objective" but the main titles. "It is not my aim to score goals for the record, the way are the titles, the dynamics. Lack lot of time and does not worry me. There are other more important things," he said.

Leo Messi: "We will fight for all the titles"

Lionel Messi, who has given an interview to Uefa.com, explained that "this year we will fight for all the titles." The Argentinian has acknowledged that last year "we were near the league, and especially in the Champions League, where he failed the penalty against Chelsea."

In any case, the Messi recalled that "we were lucky to win two Super Cups, the World Club Cup Cup and the Copa del Rey, very important tournaments although people do not value them as much."

Looking ahead to this edition of the Champions League, where the club opens against Spartak Moscow, Messi said "in the Champions are no affordable groups, from experience we know that every game is very complicated and that any team can win. "The superiority must must be show in the field," he finished.

Bartomeu left another idea: the end of Leo Messi career might not mean farewell to Barça. "If he wants, he can continue to work in Barcelona when he retire".
